On the 20th August, 2015, a team from the St Francis’ Convent Schools’ Management Board, The Alumni of St Francis Convent Schools, KK and the SFCS Building committee paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Special Tasks, YB Datuk Teo Chee Kang at his office in Wisma Innoprise.

The Advisor of the Schools’ Management Board, Archbishop John Wong Soo Kau led the group of 10 representatives. Puan Pang, the Principal of the Secondary school was also in attendance.

The purpose of the visit was to seek assistance from the State government for funds to build the new school which is currently being undertaken by the Schools’ Management Board and spearheaded by the Building Committee.

A Project Brief was given to YB Datuk Teo for his review and information by the Chairman of the Schools’ Board, Puan Mary F Gomez. During the discussion, Datuk Teo indicated that he would assist the School in securing an allocation from the state government.

So far, the Schools’ Management Board has received a sum of RM250,000.00 from the State Government on the 27th October 2015.
